Possible Confederate Pistol?
Hello!
I did not know where to post this as there is not an "other" section.
I have a friend on an American ACW forum who is looking for information.
He believes that there was a gunsmith, John Calvert of Leeds, England who produced a Confederate imported revolver during the ACW.
"I am doing some research on an imported Confederate revolver by a little known British gunsmith named John Calvert of Leeds. Questions: 1) Has anyone any knowledge/information regarding his guns? 2) Does anyone know of gun boards (similar to our here) in the UK that follow percussion arms? Any ideas would be appreciated!"

I have done some research online and the only thing I have been able to find is that a John Calvert may have been a convict gunsmith in Australia at the time.
Any help from you would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jim
